Research Specialist Program

This program aims to support continuation of researches for those completing the Doctoral Course, to train personnel fundamental for scientific technologies and academic activities, and to activate researches in the School of Economics and Business.

TA ・RA

Teaching Assistant (TA)

Graduate students can obtain education experiences and rewards as assistants for the lectures in undergraduate and graduate school.

Research Assistant (RA)

Graduate students can receive rewards as assistants for the researches of instructors.

 

Funds for financial assistance

Scholarship loans

Japan Student Service Organization (JASSO) offers the following types of scholarship loans. Type 1 Scholarship Loan: an interest-free loan of either 50,000 or 80,000 yen monthly for a master course student and either 80,000 or 122,000 yen monthly for a doctoral course student. Type 2 Scholarship Loan: a loan with interest, a student can choose the monthly loan amount from 50,000 to 150,000 yen.

School fee exemption and other scholarships

Full, half and quarter exemptions are available. JASSO also provides Scholarship for Study in Japan (monthly stipend of 48,000 yen as of 2016) and Research Fellowship for Young Scientists for doctoral courses, monthly stipend of 200,000 yen as of 2016.

Promotion of presentation in academic conferences

This program provides fund for expenses for presentation in academic conferences to students in master’s and doctoral courses. The applicants may follow the application format below. In case the total expenses exceed the budget, however, we may close applications.
