Apr.1, 1947 The Faculty of Law and Literature was established, and the Department of Economics was established under this Faculty.
Apr.1, 1950 The Faculty of Law and Literature developed into two independent faculities:the Faculty of Literature and the Faculty of Law and Economics, and the Department of Economics was established under the Faculty of Law and Economics.
Apr.1, 1953 The Graduate school of Economics was established.
May.13, 1953 The Division of Economic Policy (Master’s Course) was established under the Graduate School of Economics.
Aug.1, 1953 The Faculty of Law and Economics developed into two independent faculities:
the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Economics, and the Department of Economics was established under the Faculty of Economics.
Aug.3, 1955 The Division of Economics Policy (Doctoral Course) was established under the Graduate school of Economics.
Apr.1,1966 The Department of Business Administration was established under the Faculty of Economics.
Nov.30,1967 A new Building for the Faculty of Economics was newly constructed.
Apr.1,1976 The Division of Business Administration (Master’s Course) was established under the Graduate School of Economics, and the Division of Economics policy was renamed the Division of Economics.
Apr.1, 1980 The division of Business Administration ( Doctoral Course) was established under the Graduate School of Economics.
Apr.1, 1995 The Corporate Donated Chair “Corporate Finance (The Japan Bond Research Institute)” was established under the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Economics.
Apr.1, 1998 The Corporate Donated Chair “Corporate Finance (The Japan Bond Research Institute)” was renamed “Corporate Donated Chair “Corporate Finance (Japan Rating and Investment Information. Inc.)” as the company had merged with other company.
Mar.31, 2000 The Corporate Donated Chair “Corporate Finance (Japan Rating and Investment Information. Inc.)” was disestablished.
Apr.1, 2000 According to the reorganization of the Graduate School of Economics and Business Administration, the two Divisions of Economics and Business Administration were reorganized into three Divisions: the Division of Economic Systems, the Division of Modern Economics and Management, and the Division of Management information.
Apr.1, 2004 In accordance with the National University Corporation Law, the National University Corporation Hokkaido University was established.
Apr.1, 2005 The Division of Economic Systems, the Division of Modern Economics and Management, and the Division of Management information were reorganized into two Divisions: the Divison of Modern Economics and Management, and the Division of Accounting (Accounting School) .
May.19, 2011 The Center for Regional Economics and Business Networks (REBN) was established.
Apr.1, 2017 Faculty of Economics and Business, Graduate School of Economics and Business were established.
